Another semester down.. THANK HEAVENS!

Ok you guys, i am SO happy to report i have another semester of nursing school under my belt... and only ONE MORE LEFT! hallelujah. seriously. This was the most horrific finals week and semester... ever. Whenever people ask me what i have been up to lately really all that comes to mind are nursing interventions and care plans. 

I basically set up camp in the library the past few weeks. One day i was sitting there studying when all of a sudden someone shot a nerf gun AT MY HEAD! for some reason i didnt think it was funny, probably because i had been studying for 6 hours. 

I turned around and there was a table of people giggling like second graders. I said, "did one of you... SHOOT ME?!"

The girls kept giggling and said, "read it, read it, get the bullet and read it!" 

I picked up the bullet and it said, "hey pretty girl, call me? and then their phone number."

Suddenly more people were giggling and watching me to see what i would do. 

I just put the bullet down and kept studying, it drove them CRAYYYZY!

Anyways, finals ended, and i have been just soaking this week in!

Being homeless at wal-mart with amy. We found this really cool pizza truck though. Everyone should try it... if i could only remember the name. 

We have been finishing the last season of breaking bad and let me tell you, we have 2 episodes left and it is INTENSE! 

Finally having lots of time to work out again. 

And its a good thing... because i have been spending wayyy too much time at the waffle truck! yum!

I got an interesting pedicure with my mom and sister....

I have one more week off of school, and on monday, the real party begins.....

So. Lets talk about Amy..

 You Guys!!! You know the main star of my blog, amy, well guessss what!? Its her birthday!!! Nothing says happy birthday like a blog post dedicated to you.

Ok, reasons i love my girl ames.. WHERE do i even begin! 

1. I love that we havent had to start a new text conversation in probably over a year. Just a constant never ending conversation. Ask me what she had for any meal in the past year. come on. ask me!

2. After we went on our palm springs trip everyone was asking us if we got sick of each other and finally amy was like, no, its basically like i'm hanging out with myself, its the best. So i mean she's either saying she didnt get sick of me, or that she just really loves herself. 

(see what i mean, its like i'm talking to myself)

3. She's really funny. WE are really funny. I'm not sure anyone else knows it, but we definitely are laughing more than we are talking. We brough "lol" back in text messaging... we had no option really.

4. She loves a good photo shoot. I would say one of the activities that entertains us most.

5. I love that she always orders for me at restaurants... hahaha! I really dont know how, why, or when this started, she just does it before i can get a word in! but i'm just so grateful she takes care of me. haha!

6. I love that she is so out doorsy... ok thats a lie. She's not.

 7. Back in the day when she used to watch One Tree Hill she kept a journal of her favorite quotes. Thats just one of my favorite things about her lololol

8. Speaking of quotes!! She loves an inspirational quote just as much as i do. Never ending stream being sent between us. 

9. She appreciates a great tan just as much as me. Seriously, summer is our happy time. 

10. As most of you read my last blog post about the horrific dates i've had, a true friend offers to be my emergency if needed. 

11. She's stunning! Ok this actually is something i dont like about her. Its terrible being the ugly friend!

12. She is amazing! Seriously she is brave. She stands up for what she believes. She's not afraid to tell me when i'm wrong. She's the funniest ever. She is seriously the best friend, so caring and always making sure i'm ok. She's positive. She's SO dramatic (in the funniest way possible). She's stunning. Basically she's got it all and i'm so lucky to have her! Love you ames! 

Oh did i forget to mention she has been thinking about going into the movie making business.. enjoy!

i'm proud to report... NO CASUALTIES!

Its like... they almost bled out.. BUT! i'm feeling so much more confident. 

IV's are my thing i worry about. People hate getting poked, a nurse that doesnt know what she's doing just makes the whole experience horrific for everyone. 

My confidence was really struggling because the last one I tried was months ago and it was on Jordan whose veins are HUGE and JUICY and visible from 3 miles away. I poked him. And i missed. And then blood was spurting everywhere. And instead of saving him, i was watching where his blood was shooting across the wall and was worried about it getting on anything important. 

It was terrible.

But after this day i successfully started IV's on a small army. Most people even got more than one IV. What great sports! 

Moral of the story: if i am every your nurse, thank these guys!

ALSO! i have had QUITE a few requests asking how my brian regan date went the other night. I am happy to report that it was great. I laughed so hard it was probably socially unacceptable. But i would give the night an A+.
