The past few weeks I have been really grateful for the gospel. Between my own life and watching close friends go through trials recently I have found this quote to be so true. I think sometimes people are given trials that they feel are unfair, and it is unfair, and they feel like it is unfair of the church to ask them to respond in a certain way. That is where i feel like this quote is everything. The gospel is no guarantee against tribulation. It is hard to see those you love make decisions that are not in line with what you believe so deeply to be right, which has motivated me even more to want to do exactly what the Lord would want me to do.
My life is for sure not where i would have imagined it would be right now, but honestly I really dont care where it ends up as long as the Lord is happy with me. I have found that when I am trying to control my life, and trying to do what IIII think will make me happy, i never am. And when i take that reality check and just say I am going to do what is right, try to be better, try to be in tune with the spirit, and wherever the lord wants me I am willing to go... that sense of him being in full control really just brings me so much peace. I know that if i am doing those things, the lord is going to make my life what he wants it, and that really makes me happier than anything else.
I really dont know what i would do without this gospel.
I would pick it above anything else in my life.
I always want to remember to put my life in his hands.
I believe more than anything that it is the one and only way to have true and lasting happiness in your life.
